Co-operative education programs were first introduced into Canada in 1957 at the University of Waterloo. The University of British Columbia initiated co-operative education programs in 1980.
The UBC Faculty of Forestry Co-op Program began with our Wood Products Processing program in 1996. Now we have co-op options in each of our five bachelor degrees.
