eMentoring
New opportunity to connect high-quality mentors who do not live and work in the Lower Mainland — with UBC Forestry student mentees, through a new eMentoring format.
Program Expectations
The time commitment for the Tri-Mentoring program is 5-10 hours over seven months (October to April). This time commitment typically includes attendance at social events, in-person meetings, and skype/email/phone communications.
Mentor Checklist
- Complete and submit the Mentor application before the deadline September 27th, 2019
- Agree and abide by the Code of Conduct and the Mentoring Agreement
- Attend Mentor Orientation in October (optional)
- Attend Kick-Off event in October
- Assist mentees in developing personal goals and checking-in regarding progress
- Communicate with your mentees at least three times over the academic year: through email, phone, skype, in-person meetings
- Attend Year-End Celebration in March
- Complete an online exit survey
