We are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
During COVID-19 please email us. We are also happy to arrange a time to speak with you via Zoom or a phone call.

Gayle Kosh
Director of Graduate Programs
Gayle provides leadership and strategic direction for the Forestry Graduate Program team. With almost 25 years of experience working in graduate studies, Gayle has a wealth of knowledge and understanding to offer students and supervisors. She is happy to advise on graduate program policy and procedure including advancement to Candidacy, program leaves or extensions, timeline to completion, supervisory committee membership rules, etc. She also provides special assistance and referrals for any situation that may be affecting academic performance. Gayle advises on student funding and scholarship requirements and is also the person to speak with regarding graduate course scheduling, as well as PhD comprehensive examinations and final doctoral exam planning.

Robin Poirier-Vasic
Graduate Admissions Coordinator
Robin manages all phases of the applications and admissions for Forestry’s thesis-based degrees (PhD, MASc, and MSc), including advising supervisors and prospective students on recruitment awards and student funding policies. Robin also arranges Master’s thesis defences, coordinates the annual Three Minute thesis event and new grad student orientation for thesis-based degrees. With almost 15 years of experience working in graduate studies at UBC, Robin has a strong understanding of the organization, operations, and workflow of graduate programs.

Lee Yupitun (MGEM, MF, MUFL)

Lee has over 15 years of experience working with students at UBC and is happy to share her knowledge and understanding of admissions with prospective students. Together with Julie, Lee coordinates the application and admission systems for our suite of professional Master’s degrees and also provides the cohorts with academic support through to program completion (verification letters, tuition query, registration issues; degree requirement review).
